The Benson Scholarship Program offers financial support for: registration, monthly fees, books, computer equipment, supplies, transportation, or housing.. The program is available to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of legal age for the following fields of study:
- Agriculture
- Cattle Raising
- Agronomy
- Zootechnics
- Nutrition
- Food Production
- Vet
The scholarships are for technical studies or university undergraduate degrees, they do not apply to postgraduate or master's degrees. You choose the private institution and the type of study.
Each year, we have a limited number of scholarships available.
Requirements
1. Fill out the application form, you can download it from here. The form must be signed by your priesthood leader: bishop or branch president and stake or district president.
2. Certificate or letter of completion of the “Education for Better Employment” course. You can check with your ward or stake self-reliance specialist about the availability of this course. If you have not yet completed the course, you can continue completing the following requirements.
3. Full image of the national identification document.
4. Study plan and costs issued by the academic institution. Example:
5. Vocational guidance test. You should look for a vocational guidance test that you can take and then send the results along with the other requirements. This will help you identify if the study program you have chosen is appropriate for your abilities and interests..
